Liveaboard Itinerary
The Saba – St. Kitts liveaboard itinerary combines spectacular diving with optional island access, creating a unique tour within the liveaboard industry. You can explore a wide variety of sites on the ‘Unspoiled Queen’ in Saba Marine Park. A dormant volcano, the island’s jagged topography above the sea is mirrored below in dramatic sites. Divers will also discover the island of St Kitt’s intriguing Southern shores. Venture along finger reefs, vibrant wrecks, and unique coral labyrinths that will capture your imagination.
Giant stride directly from the liveaboard directly onto the dive site, offering easy access to some of the Caribbean’s most favorite wrecks and reefs. If you haven’t discovered the Northeastern Caribbean before, you’d better put it on your must-do list!

About Caribbean Explorer II®
Scuba diving in Saba and St Kitts
The award-winning Caribbean Explorer II has a high repeat guest rate and is a favorite among Caribbean divers. The vessel comfortably accommodates 18 passengers in 9 double staterooms; all of the staterooms have private bathroom facilities. The semi-enclosed, air-conditioned salon on the upper deck includes dining tables, a TV, CD/DVD, a video library, a light table, and a lounge area. There is certainly an opportunity to soak up the sun on the large sundeck with lounge chairs aft of the main salon. The vessel's boutique is located on the main deck. The large dive deck is equipped with a bathroom, individual gear lockers, a camera table with a low-pressure air hose, a recharging station, air and nitrox filling stations, tank racks, and separate freshwater rinse for both scuba and underwater camera equipment.
A liveaboard trip is not just about diving. It’s also about relaxing surface intervals, scenic views, and of course delicious food! The menu is a mix of locally inspired recipes, American favorites, and gourmet dishes from the chef’s imagination. While onboard you will enjoy three meals a day, plus in-between dive snacks. You’ll never be hungry!

Breakfast is served from 7 to 8 am with cold breakfasts available for late risers, followed by two morning dives with an in-between dive snack (often a fresh baked pastry or cookies). Lunch is at 12:30 pm, with two afternoon dives and an in-between dive snack. Then a delectable dinner is served around 6:30 pm with a scrumptious dessert. Hot cocoa is offered following the night dive, which divers often enjoy while lounging under the stars on deck. For the duration of your holiday, you will also have access to unlimited soda, juice, tea, coffee, and when finished diving for the day, alcohol, beer, and wine. *Brands depend on availability.

Caribbean Explorer II is part of Explorer Ventures Fleet’s long-standing Dive Green® environmental program and participates in Green Fins, the internationally recognized sustainable marine tourism initiative coordinated by The Reef-World Foundation.
Together, these programs turn responsible diving into practical onboard action, from diver briefings and reducing reef contact to waste management, environmental education and continuous improvements through Green Fins assessments and action plans.
The goal is simple: great diving with less impact on the marine environments we travel in.
Photographer Amenities Aboard Caribbean Explorer II
Saba and St. Kitts give underwater photographers two very different Caribbean environments in one week, and Caribbean Explorer II has dedicated facilities for keeping camera gear organized, charged and ready between dives. Saba and St Kitts is best for photographers who want it all, from dramatic wide-angle reef structure and wrecks to macro finds, marine life and colourful Caribbean scenes.

Saba is made for wide-angle, with volcanic pinnacles, walls, dramatic reef structure and opportunities to photograph turtles, rays and Caribbean reef sharks. St. Kitts changes the focus with wrecks and sought-after macro subjects, including frogfish and seahorses. Add colorful Caribbean scenery and those famous rainbows, and there’s plenty to keep a camera busy above water too.
