There are many ways that you can save your travel dollars by diving with us!
Firstly, our trips are an excellent value, in most cases hundreds of dollars per person below the equivalent competition.
But if you’re looking for a deal, you have three options:
- Save Now
We’ll occasionally announce special rates or discounts on certain departures, via our e-newsletter or on our website. From our popular Bring a Buddy, Snorkeler and Consecutive Trip discounts, to our Group Incentives or our Free Berth Upgrade trips where you’ll be able to upgrade your stateroom at no charge, we’ll often have certain trips where you can save significantly on your vacation dollars. - Save More Later (6th Trip Free credit)
One of our most popular programs is our 6th Trip Free credit. If you book 5 full-rate trips with us and haven’t taken advantage of any of the discounts mentioned below, we’ll apply the average price paid for those trips towards your sixth trip with us – which, depending on the itinerary you choose, could be absolutely free! There are no blackout dates or booking restrictions. Though Galapagos Eco Explorer I trips would apply to our Caribbean, Bahamas and Australia destinations, the credit may not be applied to Galapagos trips. Also, please keep in mind that trips that you may have paid for on behalf of others don’t count.
- Our Reservation Roulette Game!
Your next trip could be free! On occasion, we'll announce that a game of Reservation Roulette has started! We'll choose one or more departure dates for one or more of our vessels, as well as perhaps specific stateroom categories aboard that vessel for a particular game. We'll also choose a start date and an end date for the game. Any reservations received and deposited between the start and end dates, for travel on the announced departures, will automatically be entered in a random drawing - and if your reservation wins, one person on that reservation will travel for FREE! If you win, your trip would still apply to your 6th Trip Free credit! Complete details and current game(s) as well as Reservation Roulette winners are available here on our website. Which savings should you choose?
For example: if you’re interested in doing back to back trips (consecutive trip discount) aboard one of our boats for which this discount would apply, you have the option of saving 15% on the second trip – but then that second trip wouldn’t count towards your 6th Trip Free credit, which would save you up to 20% later. You may decide in this case to pay full rate for the second trip, and save more later.
If we’re offering a Bring a Buddy discount, which rewards repeat guests by giving them 20% off for each person they bring with them aboard our boats who haven’t traveled with us before, and the dates and your buddy list make that an option for you – it would make sense to do that.
If you choose to play our Reservation Roulette Game, you have a very good chance of getting your trip for free – and there’s no downside, because if you win, that trip will still count towards your 6th trip free credit!

Group Discounts – always available
Traveling with family or friends? One of the best ways to save money is to get together with a group and join us! For every 7 paid people, you'll earn a free berth. Split the savings, or reward yourself for your efforts! Contact our booking office for further details, and we'll be happy to explain this very easy process!
Snorkeler Discount – always available
Anyone traveling on our trips who is not a diver may save 10% off the normal rate for the trip. Just let us know that you won't be diving while on board, and we'll be happy to accommodate. Sorry, no other discounts apply and Galapagos Eco Explorer I is excluded.
Consecutive Trip Discount – always available
If you'd like to join us for two or more consecutive weeks, you may save 15% on all trips after the first. The second week should be booked in advance to ensure availability; please feel free to contact us should you have any questions. Sorry, no other discounts apply, and this special isn't applicable to Nimrod Explorer's varied itineraries!
Free Cabin Upgrade – occasionally available
On certain departures, we’ll announce via our website and newsletter that free private cabin upgrades are available for individual divers, and cabin class upgrades are available for couples. Availability for these specials are limited to and based availability for the relevant departure at the time the reservation form is received.
Bring A Buddy Special – occasionally available
This special is offered from time to time on certain vessels as a reward to our repeat clients. If you are a repeat client and bring one or more dive buddies with you that have not traveled with us before, we’ll give you a 20% discount for each of them – if you bring 5, your trip would be free! Please visit the Specials above for a list of specials that currently apply. In order for our repeat clients to qualify for these savings, each person must be on the same reservation.
